Lion’s Mane
Lion’s mane mushrooms are amazing on several levels, from their looks to their taste to their medicinal benefits.
Lion’s mane mushrooms are a gourmet delight, delicious any way. Beneath the short ”hairs" is a dense structure solid enough to slice into small ”steaks." You can sauté these steaks until they are very well done, then finish them in a little butter. Many people say they taste like lobster! Vegetarians love lion’s mane as a seafood substitute.
A great benefit of a fresh lion’s mane is that it’s delicious to eat and it’s good for you.
The health benefits of lion’s mane mushrooms are legendary. They are termed ”neuropathic," and they have a reputation for repairing and enhancing brain function. They are very fragile to handle and ship, so they are commonly found in pill/supplement form.
We grow lion’s mane on sterilized sawdust blocks. With our ability to produce species-specific sawdust, we are conducting trials to determine if they have a preferred wood. Check on us through our blog for updates.
